We know how valuable an outside ear can be—not just for lyrics and melody, but for the sonic world that surrounds them.
In this session, we're joined by producer Matt Kass, who will work with 3 volunteers to give feedback on works-in-progress. Each artist will have 15 minutes of dedicated time, with a focus on constructive feedforward—actionable insights to help move the track forward.
Whether you're one of the featured volunteers or attending as an observer, this is a chance to sharpen your producer’s ear and gather new tools you can use in your own sessions.
Matt Kass is a Nashville-based producer, songwriter, mix engineer, and multi-instrumentalist with over 20 years in the music industry. He has toured internationally, landed placements on HBO, Netflix, and Fox Sports, and helped artists turn raw ideas into polished tracks. He's built a reputation for clear, no-nonsense teaching, training thousands through his Ableton Course and lecturing at the Country Music Hall of Fame and universities.
